I have deleted the texts "Antiklimaks" and "To timer". The reason is that *drum roll* they are part of that book project, which I have sent to a major Norwegian publisher. Within 8 weeks or so I should get an answer. I do hope they will publish the book, but if they don't, I'll find some other schmuck that will print it.
I mean, how hard can this be?

Also, ticket to Japan is purchased. I will visit a good friend and look around the country a bit. That can be fun.

I sense a hint of happiness in that which you wrote. ;-)

Joy in the work! A most important endeavour of the individual.

I myself am planning a trip to Holland to visit a friend also. And hopefully I'll be visiting the old country aswell (Poland).

Ah, summer is at hand! Wild nights! Hot 'n crazy days!

The skies are magnificent, have there ever been a people magnificent as such?

Whao, cool that you've finished your book project. It'll make for good reading when it gets published (I presume that it will, in fact, be published, sooner or later). I liked To Timer and Antiklimaks.

And ticket to Japan you said? I envy you; Japan is a traveling location which I desire to a certain degree. Actually, I think I remember you mentioning it over the phone. When're you going?

I am happy. Why should I not? I study, I write, and my summer holiday begins before the end of May (hey, that rhymes!). More importantly, three excessively grumpy years are over. How about you?

The Netherlands is a nice country. I admit that I hold a tiny grudge against its government, which has criminalized "hateful speech" (i.e. all critique) of Islam; but then again, so will all of the EU within ten years with possible exception of Poland (staunchly Catholic and historically Europe's defender against the barbarism of the Black Stone).

If you have the chance, the Rijksmuseum is definately worth a visit - so is the van Gogh museum, situated practically next door. The stoner in me shouts "COFFEE SHOP" at this moment, but I suspect you are above such debaucheries. I hope you will have a good time in the Low Countries with your friend, whether inhaling the pine-ish fumes of ganja or ascetically abstaining from that Dutch Liberty.

Summer is great. Travelling to other countries is also great. Meeting friends in summer while travelling to other countries: WIN.

Time will tell if it gets published, and so will the publisher. To Timer is only the beginning, Antiklimaks is only the end. In the middle are several happenings within one week of november, shown from various perspectives as short stories. You might like it, and you might not.

17/7-1/8 is the period I will be gone. I will also enjoy several hours of transit time waiting in the Sheremetyevo airport outside Moscow (it's from the Soviet Era! Yay!). Speaking of Japan, have you heard of Bonsai kittens? If not, google it. Technically, it's animal cruelty, but when the Japanese are doing it I somehow cannot bring myself to take offense.

I have indeed heard about Bonsai Kittens. The pragmatic part of me says "Well well, survival of the fittest. If they somehow outevolve us, we'll have (bottle) hell coming to us", while the more moralistic part of me says "ugh...".

They didn't like the book, ostensibly for P.C.-related reasons. Many of the people in the publishing sector are easily offended Godwin's-Law-invoking pinkos, which I should have been prepared for. It is quite strange how nihilism, the logical step beyond the project of the '60s radicals, can turn any leftist into a whining neocon.
